KEZ Camp is for 10 to 14-year-olds with any level of English.
As well as two English lessons a day, participants will be using English for everything from outdoor activities to meal times. KEZ Camp’s educational principles are based on the Communicative Approach: successful learning comes from using language in real situations.
Your kids will learn both language and culture from qualified and experienced English teachers. Kids will be level-tested at the start of camp using University of Cambridge ESOL language criteria, and awarded with a certificate upon successful completion of the Camp's English programme.
Each day will be full of a wide range of mental and physical activities combining English with nature, sports and crafts. There will always be something new to try, like team–building and group activities, competitions, theatre performances and concerts.
KEZ Camp will also feature traditional workshops by craftsmen, and guest speakers will be teaching kids about their experiences, such as former professional BMX rider and KEZ Camp organiser Artis Zentins.
The camp will take place in Baiļi, a winter ski centre which is located just 4km from Valmiera in Gauja National Park. It is the perfect place for an active lifestyle and connecting with nature.
The Campsite is surrounded by many natural activities for your kids: a forest for trekking, open countryside for games, a volleyball court, and the River Gauja for canoening.
Nearby excursions include a high ropes course in Cesis and a zip line and stone-baked pizza oven at Vinkalne.
We believe that healthy meals will not only feed us but energise us during the days at Camp, and also teach us the importance of proper nutrition in life. Food is prepared daily by our amazing kitchen staff, and your kids will have fresh food on their tables four times a day - which will keep them healthy and full of energy.
